Saint Jean de Luz is a bridge between history and modernity. After discovering the amazing inner balconies in the church where Louis XIV wedding took place, one rushes for a drink and a traditional dish at the ephemeral bar Renaud. Open 6 months per year (indique pendant quels mois), it revives an old garage with food trucks, a small musical scene and some games.

Few kilometers away, you will be enchanted by the strong smell of the Iberian ham, la pata negra.
Without even noticing, you have crossed the border and find yourself in the Spanish city of San Sebastian. Strolling around town is a delight. You can enjoy the tapas festival, the guitars street concerts, the traditional markets and, above all, the amazing scenic view of the scintillating bay. Along the beach are standing some beautiful white iron railings.
In Biarritz, you feel like in another age. The wife of Napoleon III, the empress Eugénie, gave an imperial character to the city by ordering the construction of a beautiful palace.
This palace is still open to the public today. Celebrities, among whom Coco Chanel, stayed there.
Since then, the city has always been a hit and was the destination of many upper-class Russians. The Art Deco casino, built in 1929, and many villas are a testimony of the Roaring Twenties.
